We showcase composers whose creativity has enriched all our lives, including Ted Allen, Herb Bielawa, Russel Burnham, Paul Crabtree, Robin Estrada, Kirke Mechem, Henry Mollicone, and Jerry Mueller. We premiere works from Composer-In-Residence Brian Holmes, Composer-Not-In-Residence Christopher Marshall, and the winners of our New Voices competition for composers under age 30. Harvard and Yale Club members are specially invited to our Pre-Concert Talk at 3:15pm: "Inside the Composer's Studio." SF Choral Artists President John A. Kelley moderates a conversation with Robin Estrada (Composer-in-Residence 2007-8), Ted Allen (Yale School of Music graduate and Composer-in-Residence 2008-9), and this year's Composer-Not-In-Residence Christopher Marshall. Hailing from such distant lands as the Philippines, Australia and New Zealand, and New York City and Southern California, these composers talk about their journeys as musicians, life observers, and choral composers.
