A Preview of What To Expect
During her time at Harvard, Katharine Woodman-Maynard '08 discovered the world of animation and filmmaking. Upon graduation, she moved to California and was shocked to discover that there wasn’t a ready market for fluid, beautiful films examining interior struggles. So with true Harvard grit, she adapted and found another opportunity. Katharine co-created an animated series called Post-Nup, an online cartoon and comic strip featuring a recently married couple and the issues that pepper their loving but contentious marriage. The show has a successful online following and has been recognized at numerous film festivals across the country. Katharine will be discussing her path from Harvard to professional artist, the new media landscape, how to bring nuance to the critique of a fart joke.
